Description
A collection of articles and essays, on sheets of duplicating paper with carbon beneath, written by colleagues to mark Stanley Ellis's retirement from the School of English. This includes an introduction by David North, and the essays/articles 'Some Cures for Warts in North Wales' by Robert Penhallurick; 'Traditional Dates Associated with the Hanging and Removal of Christmas Evergreens' and 'Plants Used in Children's Games' by Susan Drury; and 'Is There a Future for Linguistic Geography in England?' by David North.
