Description
The miniature shows the martyrdom of some of the ten thousand martyrs, who were pushed from Mount Ararat and impaled on trees and thorns. According to legend the martyrs were Roman soldiers who converted to Christianity. Context: Prayers: Prayer to 10,000 martyrs
