Correspondence from University of Leeds Bursar E.J. Brown to Harold Orton regarding the allocation of rooms to the Department of English Language and Medieval English Literature on the 2nd floor of the new "Central Block” (i.e. the Parkinson Building). Includes typed notes on the allocation, a list of rooms, a list of rooms allocated to the Dept. of English (including staff names and room dimensions), and Harold Orton’s ms. notes on the departmental allocations. Also a typed from University of Leeds Registrar J.V. Loach regarding the establishment of a second Chair of Education, agreed by the University of Leeds Council. Orton was a member of the Committee instituted to recommend the appointment of the Chair. 1 file. 1948.
