The royal arms of England (fol. 9r)
Description
The 4-line initial 'D' is decorated with the royal arms of England (of King Henry IV, used 1406-1603): three golden lions on a red field in the second and the third quarter, three golden fleurs-de-lis on blue field on the first and the fourth quarter. Bar-frame border of gold and blue/rose vine, decorated with heart-motifs, poppyheads, trumpet flowers, leaves, and gold balls with green pen squiggles.
