Pelican reviving her young (fol. 91r)
Description
The lower border depicts a pelican reviving its dead young with its own blood, an allegory of Christ's sacrifice on the cross. The border also has acanthus leaves, pinks, a rose, a swallow, a jay and buttercups. 6-line foliate initial 'P' infilled with small pink flowers.
