Ritchie's article, 'Art of the Northern Whaler', on skrimshaw, from the 'Dalesman', volume 41, number 11 (February 1979), pp. 917-919; James Houston's article, 'Living Art of the Eskimos', extracted from an unidentified magazine publication (undated), pp. 40-44; Beryl Platts' article on embroidery, extracted from 'Country Life' (4 March 1971), pp. 484-486; Mark Girouard's article, 'Stamped, Addressed and Illustrated: Irish Decorated Envelopes of the Victorian Era', extracted from 'Country Life' (30 July 1970), pp. 290-291; Evelyn Goshawk's article, 'Royal Finery on Playing Cards', extracted from 'Country Life' (30 March 1972), pp. 803-804; and a photocopy of an ms. paper by Trevor Lloyd Weedon on the Hunterston Brooch (n.d.: ca. 1970s), a Celtic brooch inscribed with runes found at St. Ninian's Head in Shetland.
