This file contains items relating to traditional treatments and cures for common diseases and ailments. This includes a photocopy of the 'Home Remedies' section of 'The Foxfire Book', edited by Eliot Wigginton (New York: Anchor Books, 196-?), pp. 230-248; a typed paper on cures for warts in the West Riding of Yorkshire, contributed by Mary Savile (undated); Stewart Sanderson's article on cures for warts, from an unidentified issue of the 'New Doctor', pp. 25-26; and mounted magazine and newspaper cuttings from 'Old Cornwall', 'The Sun', the 'Sunday Express' and 'Country Life', on being charmed by a white witch to cure ringworm, traditional remedies for common ailments, treatments for colds and a stone in Gloucestershire believed to have powers to cure rickets. File contents retained in original classification order, and chronologically within this.
