Description
Response book recording the answers given by informants during the Survey of English Dialect. It includes 9 sections that cover a range of topics relating to work, domestic and social life. Answers are recorded in the International Phonetic Alphabet. Interviews have been carried out by fieldworker Peter Gibson. There are five informants for this response book - Mr C. Hancock, John Thorley, Mr A. Brownsword, Mrs Blood and Mrs Hancock. Their responses can be found in the following books: Mr C. Hancock - V, VII, VIII, IX John Thorley - II, III, IV, VI Mr A. Brownsword - I Mrs Blood - I Mrs Hancock - X, VI, VII The index for the response book can be found with book I.
