Newspaper cuttings taken from local, regional, national and international issues reporting the work of Orton and the Survey, fieldwork, lectures given by Orton, local dialect and other language-related topics. The subseries also includes letters from members of the public, sent to Orton in response to articles on his work. The larger part of this subseries was created between the years 1947 and 1959.
