Act VI, Chūshingura
Description
Act VI in Chūshingura play: Kampei, with gun on shoulder, stands on a small plank bridge over a stream, gazing abstractedly at the landscape, while from the further side approaches the 'kago' containing Okaru, and the tea-house proprietor. In background the straw-thatched roofs of cottages, and a willow tree overhanging the stream.
