Luck Stone
Description
Luck stone, a protective charm consisting of a pebble with a hole, hanging above the window of a stone cottage in West Burton ( Wensleydale). At the time of photographing, the stone had been in its position for around 30 years, before which it hung on a nearby stable door. Mounted on Photo File card with LAVC/PHO/P1669. With ms. note. Originally held in Photo File: Lucky and Unlucky Objects.
