Description
View of the ruins of Cobscar Smelting Mill, Redmire Moor ( Wensleydale), showing remains of long stone arched flue, and uplands around the mill left scarred and barren through constant mining in background. The mill dates from 1848 and ceased working around 1890. Mounted on Photo File card with LAVC/PHO/P0821. Card 4 in a series of 6. Originally held in Photo File: Mining.
