Description
Ms. draft and typed copies of an agenda for a meeting to discuss the progress of the Fishing Questionnaire; typed copies of a covering letter sent out with the completed questionnaire to institutions targeted for distributing it to local communities; a typed draft of the questionnaire; a photocopy of Peter Wright's questionnaire as it appeared in the 'Transactions of the Yorkshire Dialect Society', with Stanley Ellis's ms. annotations; Stanley Ellis's ms. diagrams; typed correspondence from Stewart Sanderson (17 January 1968) and J. Y. Mather of the Linguistic Survey of Scotland (8 February 1968) on the printing and issuing of the final questionnaire; copies of a typed letter to informants issued with the printed questionnaire; blank copies of the printed questionnaire; a printed envelope addressed to Stanley Ellis at the School of English issued for the return of completed questionnaires.
