Description
This sub-subseries includes typescript papers on the progress of the Dieth-Orton Questionnaire and Survey of English Dialects (SED) plans; typescript drafts of version 3 of the Dieth-Orton Questionnaire; and ms. fieldwork response books completed by Peter Wright in 1950, recording the testing of version 3 of the Questionnaire in Ambleside (Westmorland), Keswick (Cumberland), Kirkby Stephen (Cumberland), Wakefield, Croft, Rufforth, Hessay, Alverthorpe, Midgley, Luddenden, Wooler and Bellingham.
