Archer and a bird (fol. 9r)
Description
The border has an archer shooting at a bird, and is further decorated with thistles, bluebells and acanthus leaves. 6-line initial in blue with white penwork ornamentation is infilled with foliage, on a gold ground. Context: Hours of the Virgin: Matins: Domine labia mea aperies
