Floral border (fol. 149r)
Description
Bar-frame border in gold and in rose/blue acanthus vine that extends into the border in curved leaves and hairline tendrils that carry poppyheads, heart motifs, gold pine cones and gold balls with green lobes.The border is also decorated with a large double aroid flower in the bottom corner, and with naturalistic motifs of strawberries and thistles. 4-line rose/blue initial 'B' with white penwork shading, infilled with an aroid flower.
