This file contrains Martyn Wakelin's typed lectures and ms. lecture notes on English dialect, including general history, specific Survey of English Dialects content, speeches from SED publication press conferences and Cornish dialect. Also includes photocopies of word maps, pages of transcripts for a recording made in Midgley, West Yorkshire (recalling the story of a ‘Hungry Rat’) and pages from various dialect books.
