Response book recording the answers given by informants during the Survey of English Dialect. It includes 9 sections that cover a range of topics relating to work, domestic and social life. Answers are recorded in the International Phonetic Alphabet. Interviews have been carried out by fieldworker Stanley Ellis. There are four informants for this response book - Joe Robinson, Mrs Mills, Mr Jot Mills and Jack Stewart Their responses can be found in the following books: Joe Robinson - I, II, III, IV Mrs Mills - V, VIII, IX Mr Mills - VII Jack Stewart - VI The index for the response book can be found with book I.
