Response book recording the answers given by informants during the Survey of English Dialect. It includes 9 sections that cover a range of topics relating to work, domestic and social life. Answers are recorded in the International Phonetic Alphabet. Interviews have been carried out by fieldworker Stanley Ellis. There are two informants for this response book - Charles Kempsall and Harry Cook. Their responses can be found in the following books: Charles Kempsall - I, II, III, VII Harry Cook - IV, V, VI, VII, VIII, IX The index for the response book can be found with book I.
