17th Century Fireplace

Description

Fireplace in 17th century stone house in Langrigg (North Yorkshire), showing side oven (for baking bread) and keeping holes. The fireplace is typical of the period, and has a loose fire-grate and fittings (including rekkan) and inglenooks fitted with stone benches. Mounted on Photo File card with LAVC/PHO/P0357.
