Coleman Indonesian Collection
Description
A collection of traditional Indonesian textiles, collected over a period of more than 45 years, from 1973 almost to the present day. The Collection contains pieces from almost all of the textile-producing areas in Indonesia, with particular strengths in Sumatra, Java, South and West Sulawesi, Bali, West Nusa Tenggara and the islands of Timor, Rote Ndao and Sumba in East Nusa Tenggara. The Collection includes a wide range of types of material from ceremonial items to modest items of daily wear.
